Billboards across Tanzanian cities have invited fellow devotees to participate in mourning gatherings from July 3–10 at mosques, places of worship, and the Iranian Cultural Center in Dar es Salaam, the capital.
On Sunday evening, over 500 mourners gathered at the Cultural Center. During the ceremony, a scholar Malabi Saleh praised the Leader's character, stating: Imam Khamenei was a true divine leader, a figure before whom the world stood in respect.
With deep faith, he used all divine blessings to guide humanity from darkness to light and liberate them from oppression."
Also, Iran's Ambassador to Tanzania Mohammad Javad Hemmatpanah delivered remarks, emphasizing the martyred Leader's deep belief in the role of youth in advancing the goals of the Islamic system, a vision he described as one of the Leader's key forward-looking qualities.
The ceremony concluded with mourning rituals, including chest-beating, and a symbolic tribute at a "vacant seat of the Leader," as participants reaffirmed their loyalty to his legacy.
